Photographic Publications
Some photographs belong on the wall. Others belong in sequence.
Studio publications bring photographs together through editing, pacing and the printed page—creating a different way to experience a body of work.
Produced in small printings, each publication becomes a physical record of a place, period or photographic study.

Studio Notes
LA / FRAGMENTS No. 1 is a street photography zine bringing together nearly a decade of walking, looking and photographing Los Angeles. Across 41 photographs made between 2017 and 2026, familiar places sit alongside overlooked details and fleeting observations, forming an intentionally incomplete portrait of the city.
The first printing is limited to 100 copies. Each copy is individually numbered and signed by Wayne Ford.
41 photographs · 8.25 × 6 inches · 70 lb satin interior · 100 lb uncoated cover · Saddle stitched · First printing of 100 · Signed & numbered

THE IDEA
Photography in Sequence
A publication allows photographs to work differently than they do as individual prints.
Images can repeat, contrast and respond to one another. Photographs made months or years apart can become part of the same visual story.
Editing that sequence becomes another way of discovering relationships within the work.
INSIDE THE PUBLICATION
Made for the Printed Page

BEYOND THE SCREEN
Paper, scale and the act of turning pages create a slower, more physical way to experience photography.

BUILT THROUGH SEQUENCE
Each publication is edited as a complete work, with photographs selected for what happens from one image to the next.

PRODUCED IN SMALL PRINTINGS
Studio publications are produced in intentionally small printings, keeping each release closely connected to the photographic project behind it.
