Prints & Materials

What paper do you use?

Individual Photographic Editions are produced on Epson Premium Luster photographic paper, selected for its rich color, tonal range and traditional photographic finish.

Other Studio products, including Small Print Sets, posters and publications, may use different papers and printing processes. Materials and specifications are listed on each product page.

What sizes are available?

Individual photography prints are currently available in four paper sizes:

8×12 · 11×14 · 16×24 · 24×36

Print Only photographs include a white border incorporated within the stated paper size. Border width varies by print size.

Framed photographs are available in the same print sizes. Finished exterior dimensions vary according to the selected presentation and frame.

For additional information, visit the Framing & Size Guide.

Can I order a custom size?

The Studio currently offers a carefully selected range of standard sizes rather than custom sizing.

For commercial projects, multiple works or other special requirements, please contact the Studio through Commercial Art & Licensing.

Are the photography prints limited editions?

Individual Photographic Editions are currently open editions unless specifically stated otherwise.

Products produced in a fixed quantity, numbered printing or special edition will be clearly identified on the individual product page.

Will my print look exactly like it does on my screen?

Each photograph is carefully prepared for print, but color and brightness can vary slightly between the finished print and what you see on screen due to differences in displays and calibration.

Product photographs and room images are intended to represent the work as accurately as possible, although appearance and perceived scale may vary slightly.

Framing & Presentation

What framing options are available?

Framed photography is available in Black, White and Natural Oak frames with UV-protective acrylic and archival materials.

Two presentation styles are available:

Museum Presentation
The photograph is presented with a 2-inch archival white mat.

Gallery Presentation
The photograph is presented without a mat for a cleaner, more contemporary presentation.

Museum Presentation is the Studio’s default.

What size mat do you use?

Museum Presentation uses a 2-inch archival white mat across the current range of individual framed photography.

What is the difference between the white border and the Museum mat?

The white border is part of the photography print itself and is included within the stated Print Only paper size.

Museum Presentation adds a separate 2-inch archival white mat when the photograph is framed.

Can I frame a Print Only photograph myself?

Yes. Print Only is a good choice if you already have a preferred framer or would like to choose your own presentation.

Because print dimensions and borders vary by size, we recommend working from the specifications provided on the individual product page or waiting until you receive the print before ordering a custom mat or frame.

For additional guidance, visit the Framing & Size Guide.

I’m not sure which size or frame will work in my room. Can you help?

Yes. Placement Preview is a complimentary service that provides an approximate visualization of a photograph in your own space before ordering.

The Studio can also provide guidance when choosing between sizes, presentation styles, frame finishes or photographs.

Placement Preview includes up to three previews per customer within a 30-day period.

Studio Products

What are Small Print Sets?

Small Print Sets bring together five 5×7 photography prints connected by place, subject or visual relationship. They offer a smaller, more informal way to collect and live with a sequence of photographs.

Contents, materials and edition information are listed on each set’s product page.

What are Pairings?

Pairings bring together two photographs selected to work in conversation through color, composition, place, subject or mood.

Each Pairing includes two 8×12 photographs and is available Print Only or framed.

What are Photographic Installations?

Photographic Installations bring together three photographs conceived as a single presentation rather than as individual works.

Each current Installation includes three 12×18 photographs and is available Print Only or framed.

What’s the difference between photography prints and posters?

Individual Photographic Editions are produced as archival photography prints and are available in the Studio’s full range of sizes and framing options.

Posters are a separate, more accessible printed format in which photography, typography and design become part of the finished object. They use different papers and printing methods and are sold unframed.

Specifications are listed on each product page.

Do you offer gift options?

Yes. Photography prints, Small Print Sets, Pairings, posters, publications and other Studio works can be given as gifts.

Gift options are available on eligible products, and Wayne Ford Studio Gift Cards are available when you’d prefer to let the recipient choose.

Visit Gifting to explore gift options from the Studio.

Shipping & Orders

How much is U.S. shipping?

Standard shipping is complimentary on every U.S. order. No minimum purchase is required.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Flat-rate international shipping is based on order value:

Orders under $150: $35
Orders $150–$399.99: $50
Orders $400+: $100

The applicable rate is automatically shown at checkout.

International transit is typically 6–18 business days after shipment, although delivery times vary by destination, carrier and customs processing. Production time is additional for made-to-order prints and framed photography.

Customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes or other fees charged by the destination country.

When will my order ship?

Print Only Photography
Typically ships within 3–5 business days.

Framed Photography
Typically ships within 3–12 business days. Please allow approximately 2–3 weeks for production and delivery.

Small Print Sets, Posters & Publications
In-stock items typically ship within 3–5 business days.

Tracking information is provided as soon as your order ships.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Yes. Expedited shipping is available for many U.S. orders as a paid upgrade at checkout.

Expedited shipping applies to transit time only and does not shorten production time for made-to-order prints or framed photography.

If you have a specific delivery deadline, please contact the Studio before ordering.

How are orders packaged?

Photography prints up to 11×14 are generally shipped flat. Larger Print Only sizes are carefully rolled and shipped in protective tubes.

Framed photography is professionally packaged for safe delivery and may ship separately from other items in your order.

Posters, publications, Small Print Sets and other printed works are packaged according to their size and format.

Orders containing multiple products or product types may arrive in separate shipments.

Changes, Returns & Damage

Can I change or cancel my order?

If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact the Studio as soon as possible.

Because photography prints and framed photography are made to order, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible once production has begun.

Do you accept returns?

Made-to-order photography prints, framed photography, Pairings and Photographic Installations are considered final sale.

Other Studio products may also be final sale as specified on the individual product page.

If your order arrives damaged, defective or there is a production issue, please contact the Studio within 7 days of delivery so we can make it right.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Please photograph the damaged item, the exterior of the shipping package and the interior packaging, and contact wayne@waynefordstudio.com with your order number as soon as possible.

We will work with you and, where applicable, our fulfillment partners to arrange an appropriate replacement or resolution.
